In outdoor activities like construction and roofing, poly tarps are more lightweight and durable than canvas tarps.

Vinyl tarps are made of polyvinyl chloride or vinyl fabrics. They are strong and flexible, in contrast to canvas and poly tarps. They are offered at higher prices since they can withstand more damages caused by excessive exposure to ultraviolet light and extreme weather.

Canvas Tarpaulins are said to be more eco-friendly than other types of tarps. They are stable and tough and can survive in heavy weather conditions. The materials are water-resistant but are also known to shrink over time, especially if they are placed constantly in extremely hot climates.

Clear tarps are also available. Clear vinyl and clear poly tarps are both ultraviolent-resistant. Compared to clear poly tarps, clear vinyl tarps are heavier, tougher, and more expensive.

The vinyl tarp is the most durable and dependable type out of the three famous types of tarps. But there are always certain conditions wherein we need different tarps since vinyl tarps are heavier and more difficult to transport.
